National Power announced yesterday 31.5.00 that both Blyth Power
Stations will close in the next few months. The closure has strong
implications for abandoning the proposed North Yorkshire power line

REVOLT (Rural England Versus Over-head Line Transmission) aims
to increase public awareness of the anti-pylon campaign by spotlighting the
main issues, as well as generating or responding to new developments. While
some of the very technical background is surprisingly well understood, there
is still a good deal of confusion and misinformation amongst the public which
should be addressed. REVOLT hopes that news editors will find
these releases with contact numbers and photo opportunities will provide ample
media copy.
