SEAT Action Group Safe Energy For Armagh/Tyrone

The SAFE group was started in April 2007 by concerned residents living in close proximity to the proposed 35 mile (56km) long 220kv Power line from Flagford Carrick on Shannon to Srananagh/Ballysumaghan (near Sooey) Co Sligo.

HOPE (Homeowners Opposing Power-line Encroachment) was founded in 2001 by homeowners and property owners along the Dallas Highway corridor in west Cobb County. Since this time H.O.P.E. has grown to become a statewide organization.

Campaign for Planning Sanity "Planning Sanity was set up to help local communities tackle adverse planning and development applications that threaten to blight their communities. The site is set up in forums, each forum is intended to be a complete unit providing all the resources needed for that topic." Forums include, for example: Phone Masts; Non-Violent Direct Action; and Environmenal Impact, but not specifically power lines.

Country Guardian "is a UK conservation group which, since 1991, has campaigned against the construction of wind turbines in environmentally sensitive areas. We object because wind turbines convert rural landscape into industrial landscape, and because they are a poor source of renewable energy."

"Elizabeth Mann is an active volunteer and long-term Revolt supporter. She was a leading opponent of the Barningham Moor wind farm in the Pennines, which was eventually rejected.
